After three and a half years, I've decided to move onto other projects and am selling "DogLoveArt," my dog t-shirt design business / website. I started DogLoveArt from the ground - up in 2005, creating over 60 original t-shirt designs and building my own website. All of the essential elements are in place; the company is just waiting for someone with good business skills to take it to the next level.
Here's what's included:
Original T-Shirt Designs Over 60 original designs which can be screenprinted or transfered to dog t-shirts, as well as several designs for human t-shirts. Not all of the designs are on my website at the moment; I've cut back in the past few months. I created all of these designs myself in PhotoShop. You get all the PhotoShop files, as well as exclusive rights to the designs. The designs will be shipped to you on CD-ROMs.
DogLoveArt.com Website DogLoveArt.com is a fully functional and nicely designed website; it is on Google page 1 for the keyword "dog t-shirt". You get the whole thing - the domain and all the html files and images (including pictures of my dogs modeling the tees). This website is a Yahoo Store with an easy to use inventory database and built-in shopping cart software.
Customer Databases I have sold dogs t-shirts to over 400 retail customers. You get the email addresses so you can pin-point your repeat-business advertising. You also get a database of over 275 upscale pet boutiques and pet supply stores all over the country. I never contacted these stores to build up the wholesale side of the business, but you could!
Advertising Materials I've created a number of advertising postcards and internet ads, as well as an 8-page printed catalog. You get all the PhotoShop files, as well as samples of the printed materials. You would need to update the PhotoShop files with your contact information, etc. I'll also give you the list of internet sites where I have advertised in the past.
Supplies / Suppliers I screenprinted my own t-shirts (bought equipment and taught myself), but you don't have to do it this way. You can outsource the screenprinting or use the designs to create transfers. I have a few hundred blank dog t-shirts in 10 different sizes and various colors, plus a couple dozen blanks for humans. The blank tees alone are worth over $1600 wholesale (much more retail, if you print them). I also have many already printed dog tees (various sizes). You get all of this (free shipping), plus the contacts for my dog and human t-shirt manufacturers.
Advice / Mentoring If you are new to this, I will help you in any way I can to get you started. Someone with good business know-how could make a very successful business out of DogLoveArt! Personally, I am not a business person; I created DogLoveArt because I love dogs and like designing things, and I always considered it my hobby. I was never very good with the advertising and marketing aspect of business, but even so, I sold a lot of t-shirts! During my best year of sales (with little advertising), I sold over $12,000 worth of t-shirts (wholesale and retail combined). As I mentioned, the DogLoveArt website is on the first page of Google for the keyword "dog t-shirts" (with no current advertising). There are a couple of trade shows specific to the pet industry; I'll tell you about those too.
Local Sale Only: Printing Equipment I have a 6-color, 1-station screen printing setup for sale; this is priced separately from the business and must be picked up in Brevard, NC; I can't ship it. Included with the printing equipment is a flash dryer, exposure light, small darkroom cabinet, 80 wood frames with designs already burned, lots of inks and squeegies, etc.
Price I am asking $9,000 for the business, but am willing to entertain other serious offers. The printing equipment (local pick up only) is another $1200.
This may be your chance to get into the pet industry - don't miss the opportunity! Please contact me if you have questions. email me
